WORKING FROM HOME

Beginning your workday by starting early. This is easier said than done with your big, warm, soft bed is calling you to sleep in. When you commuted to an office, you knew you had to allow time for traffic, parking, etc, yet you planned it. It was just part of doing your job. Working from home can a bit more challenging because of a lack of structure.

THE ANATOMY OF A FAMILY PANDEMIC

The year 2020 may go down as the worst pandemic in world history. Despite the 24/7 news cycle, there are those who are still in denial that the pandemic even exists. Others are angered because of the loss of the job, their health, and their freedom. Many are trying to bargain with their own reality by saying this problem will only affect someone and not me and selfishly convince themselves they are more valuable than other people. Many become very depressed for lack of finances to pay their personal bills plus the loss of social interactions. It is only after they choose to accept their personality reality that things become clearer. That clarity does not remove the emotions, but many times lowers the stress and anxiety caused by such situations.

CREATING CALM DURING TIMES LIKE THESE

Unlike at any other time in our history, we are witnessing extraordinary events. Many of you have lost your spouse and others are afraid of losing a loved one because of the unknown of what you are being told in the media. Worry and fear are a natural reaction many times caused because of your lack of control.

EVEN IF BY MERCYME WILL BRING YOU PEACE

Everyone has bad days. Widows and Widowers know this well. Having survived the loss of my spouse some 23 years ago, there are days when it seems like that 23 years happened yesterday while others seem like a lifetime ago.
